Bye, bye, DigitalGhost!
(rt) Long term SEO Dean Bloomsfield aka DigitalGhost has announced that he’s quitting the industry to pursue greener pastures:
I want to pursue pure research regarding etymology, LSI/LSA, philology, etc. Parallels can surely be drawn with regard to search tech I’m sure, but I want to pursue words. So, I’m leaving the SEO/SEM game.
By way of a personal note: yes, you’re dead on target there (and I’m not talking business either) – linguistics and philology are probably the most fascinating current disciplines extant with lots and lots of new discoveries and developments happening every day. Arguably, there’s little else of comparative importance relating to the future of search either.
But SEO / SEM or not – you’re immersing yourself in an all time favorite preoccupation of mine, so how could I but wish you all the fun and success and fulfillment in the world!
Well, Dean, hope it all works out fine for you. And in case you should decide to return to the killing fields of SEO / SEM by way of spiraling into applied linguistics some day – welcome both ways!
