How To Submit Your Site To Ask.com

Danny Sullivan points  us at Search Engine Land to ↗ Ask.com … implementing support for sitemaps autodiscovery, quoting from their help files.

Essentially, this works by preparing a sitemap and adding an auto-discovery directive to your site’s robots.txt file.

Instead, you can also submit your sitemap through their ping Url, namely:

http://submissions.ask.com/ping?sitemap=http%3A//www.theURLofYourSitemapHere.xml

While this won’t automatically guarantee your page actually being indexed, it’s certainly worth the effort and an interesting new development.
