Sphinning the Spham – the Onslaught Has Begun

If you thought Danny Sullivan’s Sphinn to be the next big thing in search after the invention of the search box, think again.

Becomes the spam onslaught has only just begun. Here’s a screenshot we took a few minutes ago: A post pointing us to the health benefits of brown rice, plus a Japanese piece pimping a video on YouTube (link non-functional for Western character set browsers).

It’s what we’ve seen over at SearchEngineBase when we still allowed for submission of new search engines we hadn’t listed yet: Anything that looks like a submission box to no matter what will sooner or later attract submissions (no matter what), and screw all topicality.

Seems that Danny’s site is in for a major spamfest in the making. So there but for the grace of Googe goeth another Authority Site…
