Expectably, after the Manchester SEO Meet (aka Pissup), all us linkwhoring attendees will probably ramp up our PR artillery, blogging about it and publishing pix left, right and center – as well we should.

There may be more we haven’t had time to hunt out yet, but what you’ll see here first are our own (and do please take note of the last one in the row, which may or may not qualify for “a mite disturbing”).

And no, we won’t point out everyone’s name – you know who you are.

As it happens, this event also featured the debut launch of a highly sophisticated remote controlled and WLan powered listerning device recently developed by Google, the gLoungeZebra (beta) which the participants gleefully spammed with disinformation about meta tag cloaking tricks, copiously enriched with Viagra, online gambling and asbestos attorneys links, once the fantomaster Counter-Intelligence Division (fCID) had uncloaked it. (No need to thank us, folks – least we could do.)

And now, here it comes:

 

Anyway, the appr. 55 attendees included, but were not limited to illustrious names known across a slew of industry forums ranging from the late Threadwatch through WMW to Syndk8, not to mention countless blogs. In no particular order: 4eyes, SEOIdiot, Zwart, NFFC, DaveN, Gurtie, grnidone, Mivox, Andy Ward, evilgreenmonkey including the entire Ayima crew, only recently completed by Esrun, IBrian, serious, sugarkane, JasonD, ukgimp, Keir_Mc, FayeM of Casino.com (testing the black waters, as it seemed), MickG, IanTurner, the two fantomasters Dirk and Ralph, as well as many, many others, not to forget a very strong delegation of no less than three SEO companies from Israel. (And sorry, folks, if you’re not listed here: Didn’t manage to speak to you all, better luck next time. And yes, we will need dog tags, then – positively!)

Kudos, as usual, to 4eyes who made a point of educating the motley crew to the fineries of the very best traditional English cuisine (obviously quite a surprise to many – but yes, there actually is such a thing!) and rare ales as well as doing an exceedingly good job of his favorite pastime, herding cats.

It was a great event in the original pubcon and SEO Roadshow format, a worthy successor to both and will definitely bear repetition.
