New Power Tool for Creating Gmail Accounts by the Ton
Operating in (aka: gaming) the social network space, going for effective link building via forums, blog comments, wikis etc. will typically involve setting up slews of different personas and identities - for most of which you’ll need an operative e-mail address to verify your registration these days. Whether you’re trying to ramp up traffic and links via Digg, Slashdot, Reddit, Del.icio.us, Technorati, Propeller, Sphinn or any of the slews of me-toos abounding across the Web, an e-mail account for each persona you’re creating is a dead must.
Sure, there’s plenty of free services available online that will allow for all kinds of e-mail addresses: throwaway, redirect, auto-delete, anonymous, etc. But try creating, say, 50 or 100 of those in a row and chances are you’ll start screaming for their utter lack of scalability.
Not only will this eat up hours of premium time - what’s worse, many social network operators have wisened up to them now and will point blank refuse registrations from such addresses, based on an ever expanding list of blackmarked providers. (Obviously they won’t allow multiple registrations from identical e-mail addresses either.)
Switching to trusted services such as Google’s all-pervading Gmail (you know: the one where they’ll parse all your personal messages automatically to do no evil - honest! -Â with the data collected) seems an obvious alternative, but mass creation of Gmail accounts is nothing that service was ever set up for.
So enter The Mailbot: This recently launched tool is a desktop based application that allows you to create as many valid, functional Gmail accounts as you like.
Here’s what they say about their product:
Mailbot is your all-in-one email account creation solution. Mailbot will not only create mail accounts for you to use, but it has options to enable forwarding to whatever email address you choose and enable POP access to each account. The possibilities are endless. Let Mailbot auto-generate account names completely randomly or give it your own list of prefixes to use on the front of account names. Mailbot is also very easy to set up to work with proxies. It’s all up to you!
Having tested it extensively ourselves, we can vouch for the veracity of these claims: The program is a breeze to both install and operate and it does exactly what it should.
We’ve also seen the developer implement suggested new features literally in a whiffy during beta: I sure would wish that we ourselves here at fantomaster were that fast sometimes!
And while the support forum is not yet populated, it’s available already.
More nifty features are in the pipeline, and while the program doesn’t resolve the mandatory Gmail captchas during account creation, the no-frills interface (see the screenshots) makes it fast and easy to enter the required codes, with the rest of the process running on auto pilot.
Seriously: For just under $60 it’s a huge time saver - and the no-risk free trial version gives you ample opportunity to test the app thoroughly before actually purchasing it.
So go and get it now here (and no, this isn’t an affiliate link):
