The Future of Google Search?
The Google Labs Experimental search section is, of course, merely a playing ground for innovative approaches to search. As such, they may or may not be quite revealing in terms of what cards Google’s got up their sleeve – an indicator of things to come at best, a junkyard of nice tries at worst.
In any case, as a serious SEO you’ll want to keep up with what’s brewing, connect the dots and – hopefully – come to some fairly accurate conclusions about what the industry will actually be up against next. Ignore at your peril!
Some examples: Will it likely be “alternate views for search results” (by timeline, on a map or combined with other information)? Or will “keyword suggestions” gain hold on user’s mice and eyeballs? Will keyboard shortcuts ever cut the mustard?
