fantomas shadowSniper™
Our prime stealthing (also termed IP Delivery or Cloaking) tool offers you usage of an unlimited number of gateway, stealth or phantom pages for truly top notch search engine positioning and page code protection.
The Problem
In an ever more competitive internet environment top search engine rankings are increasingly gaining in importance. As a stand alone marketing instrument, they have long surpassed banner ads and bulk email in efficiency — a trend that is hardly likely to change in the foreseeable future, quite the contrary in fact.
However, web positioning is also exactly that sector where competition is fiercest!
As a serious webmaster or an internet entrepreneur you can't really afford not to opt for the very best web positioning option available. Which undoubtedly is “stealth technology” or the art of feeding search bots pages specifically optimized for their indexing algorithms while directing your real web site visitors to content more amenable to human consumption.
Still, some sharks out there offering stealth software would gleefully rip you off for literally thousands of dollars. Now while you might gladly wish to pay a fair price for a fair product, you weren't quite expecting to actually having to buy out those mega important search engines, were you?
Not that people aren't trying: paid-for links positioning, popularity ratings based on direct hits technology, keyword auctions — all these are clearly favoring those mega corporations that can afford doling out hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars for a good ranking with a couple of major search engines.
Ah yes, what's worse: let's not forget that it's not as if there were only a handful of search engines around — there are literally hundreds, plus a shockfull of catalogs, directories etc., all of which demand costly tackling of their own.
And if it's not downright buying positions by key word acquisition or rental, those big boys have plenty of moolah to spend on highly specialized personnel as in “one web positioning expert per engine”.
So, finally, enter the fantomas shadowSniper™ — the truly affordable killer application!
The Solution
This is the mainstay of our state of the art stealth (alt. “cloaking”, “food”, “phantom”) technology Products Palette. It is no exaggeration to state that in tandem with our fantomas keyMixer™ this gives you all the stealth you'll ever need!
Here's the meat:
Fourteen strong reasons why you should use fantomas shadowSniper™
- recognizes search bots (spiders) via a reference file in txt format. File can be updated and edited online and off anytime by user
- serves “stealth” or “phantom” pages to spiders — these are pages optimized for engines; alternatively, human visitors are served those pages specified by user
- lists all hits (robots and human) in proprietary log file — very easy to follow in text area window of user control interface; includes search words and phrases as entered by visitors in search engines — VERY IMPORTANT for continuous optimization of your web site!
- allows usage of unlimited number of keywords; you will copy one Keyword Switch file per keyword (looks like any ordinary web page but in reality it is a ready made CGI script) wherein is laid out which particular page your human visitors will be shown for that specific keyword; plus another file containing the optimized phantom page for the search engines to index — this allows for unlimited flexibility
- lists the following data in separate text area windows when activated:
- hits statistics
- all currently registered search engine spiders (a comprehensive list of all currently known spiders is included in our package)
- all phantom pages contained in their own directory in the form of complete URLs
- remains invisible to the search engines and will work as an unrecognized background process: no transparent redirection tag in the HTML header, no amateurish JavaScript redirect frizz, both of which may crash your visitors' browsers and can lead to refusal of indexing or even penalization by the search bots
- allows submission of absolutely innocuous HTM pages; hence, no mandatory restriction to your cgi-bin directory, allowing for straightforward search engine submission without any recognizable peculiarities
- not limited to any predefined set of search engines
- need international submissions? No problem!
- Want to cater to the smaller engines too, not restricting yourself to the major players with their fiercely competitive environment?
- After all, every hit lost could be a customer lost?
- Easy: simply list the engines you require
- even works with search engines that will accept only primary domains, i.e. no subdirectories: simply customize the path parameter in your Keyword Switch — that's it!
- based on what is probably the world's most comprehensive list of search bots: fantomas spiderSpy™ with addresses both in:
-
- unresolved (e.g. 111.222.333.44)
- resolved format (e.g. spider1.searchbot.com)
- meaning that you will be independent from your web server's specific configuration (many servers refuse to resolve IPs in order to save on bandwidth and storage space)
- Plus, 12 months sub now included!
-
- does not rely on dubious, easy-to-circumvent User Agent identification to recognize search bots
- is password protected to restrict usage to authorized persons only; however, will accept blank (nul) passwords too, if installed accordingly. (Not recommended except as a temporary time saving solution during check up.)
- now comes with FREE INSTALLATION
- now comes with unlimited email support
fantomas spiderSpy™
Whether you are optimizing your web pages by meta tags, by employment of gateways or by straight cloaking technology — you will always want to know exactly what you are actually up against.
If there's one thing you can do without, it's anonymous, unreferenced search engine spiders.
The Problem
Determining Search Engine Spiders
If you are a freelancing search engine positioning artist, you will require precise and up-to-date information on who and what you are dealing with. Your clients can't wait to see their web sites posted and ranking in the search engines' top range. But how will you get all those new or unknown spider names and IPs updated in time, with additional crawlers and search bots being implemented and combing the net every day?
And how will you effectively decipher your log files to evaluate your online marketing and search engine positioning efforts? How to recognize (and possibly filter or redirect) all those spiders that simply won't let on who they are by refusing to divulge their User Agent or domain name data when knocking on your virtual door?
While there's a plethora of services and web sites out there offering sound and solid advice on search and submission issues, occasionally bundled with tons of technical data focusing on search robots, getting hold of a comprehensive list of spiders is well nigh impossible.
Existing lists accessible to the general public are either exclusively biassed towards the major players, blithely ignoring the fact that there are several thousand SEs now, all competing for a share of the cake.
Or, they tend to ignore all but the U.S. based engines, leaving all those webmasters out in the cold who are either themselves foreign based or interested in catering to the ever growing huge international clientele of an expanding, far from saturated global market.
(This is after all, let's not forget, the Internet!)

fantomas keyMixer™
A true killer application if there ever was one: the world's first automatic server and client based keyword density generator.
Now, you can automate the task of generating high precision keyword density for your gateway and stealth pages!
The Problem
Keyword density is rapidly becoming one of the most important factors influencing search engine positioning.
Up until now, optimizing gateway and stealth pages for SE submission entailed time consuming manual labor: fiddling around to achieve search engine specific keyword densities by trial and error, by counting words and strokes for every web page you wanted to optimize.
In short: a chore to be shunned. (Which is probably why you get to see so few truly optimized pages on the web.)
The Solution
The eminently configurable fantomas keyMixer™ does it all for you in a flash!
This maverick program lets you:
- define your keywords (single words or multi-word key phrases) up to a maximum of 5 per shot, though in actual practice we recommend working with a max. range of 1-3 keywords per page
- specify name and location of target files (in .html format) — if you're working online you won't have to upload them by ftp or telnet, saving you tons of time!
- specify your own filler text file for optimization of contextual relevance which is increasing in importance with several major search engines currently
- specify your desired keyword density in percent (e.g. “KW1 = 1.5%”, “KW2 = 1.8%”, “KW3 = 0.9%”, etc.) — simply click the button and the optimized gateway or phantom (stealth) page will pop up in your text area field, complete with HTML header, meta tags, etc. for review or eventual final editing if required. Keyword density will be exact to the first decimal digit!
- optimize your meta tags in that same single process
- protect your starter lines i.e. that part of your body text actually read, indexed and displayed by those engines that will ignore your meta contents by policy — granting you optimum control over what surfers finding your SE entry will get to see
- avoid all spamdexing penalization literally to the dot
- copy and surpass competitors' top positioned pages' keyword densities without infringement of copyright, thus avoiding cost intensive litigation
- preview and, where required, further edit the automatically generated stealth or phantom page in one single session — hard to beat that comfort!
- design and optimize an unlimited number of gateway or phantom (stealth) pages

The Problem
Submitting quantitites of URLs to search engines can be a time consuming, painstaking task of uncertain outcome.

fantomas logFrog™
The log cruncher: giving you full one-location control over your log files for evaluation, stats analysis, data mining and unlimited reports generation.
The Problem
Log files come in various flavors, formats and locations. Accessing them all will usually entail tons of downloads, hopping from one obscure directory to the other, renaming tasks, eye watering columns of cryptic entries, etc.
In short: a major headache for everyone concerned. The result being that log files are probably among the least regarded data sources extant.
And when did you ever find a log analysis program that would flash you the precise data you needed instead of inundating you with megs and megs of redundant trash, albeit in nicely colored pie chart graphics?
The Solution
The immensely powerful fantomas logFrog™ offers you fully customizable string search based log extracts and reports in a flash!
Entertaining several sites on one server? Check and process all your logs from one single location! And not just plain vanilla system logs, either: search any log file regardless of format and (if your server security set up supports this feature) location!

fantomas trackerJack™
Tracking your external links will throw a new light on your site's inherent attractivity — also ideal to keep an eye on affiliate program referrals from your site to counter check with your partners' stats.
The Problem
While most web stats software will show you in much detail from where your site visitors are coming, getting a comprehensive overview which external link they will click to leave your site is a different story. This can be critical information to check out your site's inherent strengths and weaknesses.
Moreover, it can help you evaluate which of those affiliate programs you may be featuring is best adapted to your visitor structure, as well as doublecheck on your affiliate partners' referral and commission stats.
Many solutions have been offered, mostly focusing on JavaScript — which, however, can be problematic for several reasons:
- many users are wary about activating their browsers' JavaScript functionality for security reasons;
- most older browsers will ignore JavaScript altogether;
- some older browser have an infamous knack of crashing when confronted with JavaScript codes — hardly the web site propaganda you can wish for;
- cross browser compatibility is not a given, meaning you may have to maintain several different versions of your site, increasing your workload and overhead.
The Solution
The extremely easy to install fantomas trackerJack™ offers a fully browser independent no-headaches background solution! Simply upload and install this nifty little application in your CGI directory, adjust your external links by adding a simple pathlet — and you're ready to go!
The program will log visitors leaving your site via external links in its own log file for instant real time overview.
Lots of external links to cover? Not keen on adapting your code for every one of them manually? No problem — the Pro version automates this task for you no matter how large your site may be!
The fantomas trackerJack™ program comes in two flavors:
Free Standard Version
- simply download and install in a flash
- manually adjust your site's external links by simply adding a pathlet, — e.g. “cgi-bin/tje.cgi?external-link1.html”
- find your external links hits in a dedicated log file for precise statistical evaluation — no white noise from other, unrelated hits like you would have if you checked your system logs only
- can even be used to track your own web site pages!
- dead easy, no-headache installation
Pro Program Version
- all features as in free Standard version (see above)
- instant click-button automatic cross site adaptation of all external links, saving you tons of work and time — optional exclusion of individual or generic URLs (including wildcards!) possible
- assign unlimited number of freely customizable tracking tags to any external link for faster, clearer overview (e.g. with fantomas logFrog™), collocation of hits (e.g.: see at a glance just how many visitors clicked on that affiliate link of yours!) and ultra-precise evaluation of your tracking logs, e.g.:
-
“cgi-bin/tj-PRO-e.cgi?t= ComputerBooks&url= http://www.amazon.com/exec/ obidos/ASIN/156592567X/ verygocomtheonli”
will show up in your logs with tracking tag “ ComputerBooks” - whereas your tag “t=Sports” could refer to sports literature
- see at one glance how many click-thru hits your “Computer Books” section is achieving in comparison to your “Sports Literature” section, etc.
-
- logs sorted by tracking tag — the fastest overview possible
- powerful features, unbeatable price — valid for limited time only!
- full technical support
- free updates 12 months after purchase

fantomas statsReaper™
Puts the choice back in your logs and stats.
The Problem
An old networkers' adage goes “logs are what you make of them.” True, but who or what is responsible for actually making your logs? If your system administrator decides for you what they deem to be “important” or “negligible”, you're simply out of luck!
For example, many web server systems (if not the majority) will not even log visitors' User Agent data (so critical for search engine optimization!); others will blithely ignore the Http Referer, etc. So unless you can coerce your provider at gun point to modify their basic system setup, chances are you will have to take the matter in your own hands.
The Solution
Now, our crafty fantomas statsReaper™ helps you regain full control over your logs and stats!
So take your pick: log — or exclude! — all available environment variables including:
- date & time of visit
- visitors' browser type, operating system, and referrer URL
- search engine referrals and the precise search terms your visitors entered to find your site
- screen resolution, color depth, visitors' time zones (requires JavaScript)
Have 'em all, have some, have none — fantomas statsReaper™ finally gives you back the choice over what you want to store and evaluate! Operating from the comfort of your familiar web browser, you will regain “the full control” over your logs and stats files.

fantomas multiBlocker™
professional ip blocker, spam, fraud and snoop protector: blocks predefined IPs, UserAgents and Hosts from accessing your web pages.
Here's an (unsolicited) client comment:
“I mainly got fantomas multiBlocker™ to block individual IP addresses of individuals placing bogus orders at my web site. I was getting 5 to 10 bogus orders a week and now it's a slow trickle to maybe one a month since I started blocking the jerks' IP addresses.” — Ken B.
The Problem
Snoops and Frivolous Litigation
What with the web becoming ever more competitive, there's a lot of people out there after your hide. They will check, among other things, whether your site is infringing trade marks and violating copyright, etc. More often than not, their snoop bots are quite aggressive, deep crawling (and presumably caching) your site without your permission, ignoring the robots.txt convention, etc.
If you've got serious money to lose (or if you give that impression), you can safely bet on it that some shark will try to get at it sooner or later. This may very well concern your clients as well. Seeing that people have been (and are being) sued for a mere link on their site, this issue should not be trivialized. If you simply so much as mention Microsoft Windows or Dell or what have you on your site, you run a very realistic risk of being sued brainless these days.
It is for cases like these that we originally devised fantomas multiBlocker™, the spider trap. We were not particularly amused by this sort of activity, even though we have nothing to hide.
Legitimate pursuit of copyright infringements and trademark piracy etc. is one thing — violation of privacy and provocation of unwarranted, frivolous litigation because of mere greediness is another.
But it definitely doesn't end there …
The Spam Flood
Then there's email extractors or “harvesters”: they will blithely crawl your site for any available email address you may feature on your pages, ignoring the Robots Text Exclusion Standard (robots.txt). The result: your address(es) will be sold to email marketers, flooding your mail box with tons and tons of spam mail — it may literally take years to get off those lists again!
Credit Card Fraud
Worried about your rate of credit card chargebacks? Getting lots of fishy online orders originating from foreign web hosts — with your bank charging an arm and a leg for chargebacks and you, as an honest web vendor, absolutely helpless against these frauds? You may even lose your online merchant account that way, not an endearing prospect at all!
Start making money again instead of chasing those evasive crooks — simply block them by Top Level Domain once and for all!
Spiders Rampant
Badly programmed, “misbehaved” spiders (e.g. whackers, some search bots, and others) running rampant on your site, getting lost in logical loops and issuing dozens if not hundreds of identical page requests may easily wreak havoc and can crash your whole system. This can cost you dearly: the time, labor, bandwidth and system resources wasted may be daunting. Thinking of sueing the instigators for damages? Good luck, you're sure going to need it! While weight of proof may not be such a big deal if your server logs are easily accessible, trying to get hold of someone hiding behind an overseas provider address is well nigh impossible and will, at the very least, prove exorbitantly costly.
From now on:
- let those snoops waste their own resources, not yours!
- stop that spam flood!
- protect your online business
- &clobber the crooks!
The Professional Solution
The powerful fantomas multiBlocker™ will protect your web property by blocking predefined IPs, UserAgents and originator Hosts.
List of features:
- specify an unlimited number of IPs or IP ranges to block from access
- block site access by UserAgent to weed out email extractors (harvester bots) from plundering your site's email addresses — the most professional spam protection extant!
- block visitors coming from undesirable Hosts — including blockage by Top Level Domain or country of origin
- the optional email alert function will inform you promptly whenever illegal access is attempted (currently Unix systems only)
- optionally carbon copy a second email alert to any address — ideal for services catering to clients' security needs: inform your customers automatically, proving your security service's mettle (currently systems Unix only)
- snoop bot process will be put to sleep, saving bandwidth and system CPU resources
- server based application working under Unix and NT
- generates customized CGI file according to your specifications
- works from flat file databases, making ongoing maintenance a real breeze — any standard text editor will do
- easy to handle graphical user interface (GUI) — configurable right from the comfort of your familiar web browser
- free installation service (optional) — 100% money back guarantee if program won't work on your web server!

The Problem
Code Jacking
Unfortunately, there will always people who want to have it all for free and who will not even shy away from downright criminal acts.
This includes the theft of codes, which is technically very easy to effect: the competitor's successful page will be downloaded, meta tags and keyword entries relentlessly copied into the perpretator's own page.
Finally, the new pirated web page is re-submitted to the search engines in its optimized version — and there goes weeks and months of meta tags fine tuning! Suddenly, your search engine entry will experience a downslide while your unethical competitor's pages will climb to the top. So off you go once more, optimizing and re-optimizing your pages, resubmitting them, only to be imitated by the copycat, etc. And if there are more than two parties involved (e. g. when someone else starts copying your code pirating competitor), the vicious cycle may well continue and escalate ad nauseam.
What's worse: in actual practice it can be extremely difficult if not downright impossible to prove such infringement of your copyright as a base for court action. After all, your foe can replace the pirated code with a less controversial version after achieving an optimized search engine positioning.
Alternatively, they may go for wholesale cloaking technology in the first place, i. e. employing phantom pages (also termed “stealth”, “food” or “cloaking” pages) you will never get to see in your web browser — meaning that you won't be able to download and analyse them for proof of infringement.
The Professional Solution
By uni-encoding your entire web pages you can effectively protect your web site from code napping. Of course, this encoded version should be readable for all browers without any restrictions. And, just as important, the search engines must understand the code, too, of course.
No problem with our fantomas shadowCoder™ — it will perform that task in a flash. But see for yourself, test the fantomas shadowCoder™ online here!

fantomas mailShield™
A simple and free trick to protect your web site efficiently from spam mail — now including camouflage of entire HTML pages.
The Problem
(rt) Spam artists' extractor bots can make life living hell for any webmaster: tirelessly hunting for deliverable email addresses, they have begun to comb through not only Usenet but any websites accessible to them.
Now you know as well as we do that even the flashiest web site is no good at all if your visitors and clients cannot contact you. So what you do is to put your email address dutifully on your web page — and off the spammers go again to pester you later with their junk mail. Not only is this a nuisance, it is also time consuming and in consequence damaging to your business.
Of course you can go a long way in avoiding this issue by employing email filters (“kill files”). However, such filters will have to be generated manually. Moreover they are notoriously unreliable because while you know the addresses of past and present spammers, you don't know who is yet to come. Hence, kill file filters can offer only a very limited protection against spamming.
While the trick outlined below does not present any ultimative solution either, even though it has been widely hyped as such in the U.S. internet media, it is currently still pretty useful, which is why we want to share it here.
The Solution
The procedure is quite simple: do not employ clear text for email addresses on your web site. Instead, convert the characters of your address (or even only a few of them) into browser readable Unicode. As per time of writing we are not aware of any address extractor bot capable of reverse-decoding in the Unicode standard.
The result being: your email address will be sorted out as “undeliverable” by the extractor program. Let it be noted that we expect this to change some time in the future when more powerful extractor programs will have been written. But until then, you may as well count your blessings for having warded off these virtual pests if only temporarily.
Let's take a practical example
The following email address is written entirely in Unicode, as you can see when checking the source code of this page. We even encoded the “mailto:” command!:
fantomaster@fantomaster.comProvided your browser supports HTML 3.2 however, you should only see the clear text on your screen.
In reality, the address is encoded as follows:
fan toma ster @fan toma ster .com
You will find a list of the most important Unicode characters relating to email communication here!
(Will open in separate browser window.)
Or, do it the even easier way — online and in real time! And even more comfortable yet! The following link will guide you to our proprietary program:
fantomas mailShield™Once you have followed the link above, all you need to do is to enter your selected email address and click on the encoding button: immediately after, you will see your uni-encoded address pop up in the window!
